I am doing the Cupid Undie Run once again this year.
I will be running in the cold of winter in an effort to raise funds to find a cure for neurofibromatosis (NF), a disorder that affects 1 in 3000 births and can cause tumors to grow anywhere on or in the body.
Each day can bring a new and terrible challenge to the patient faced with NF. Complications with NF can lead to disfigurement, blindness, bone deformity, loss of limbs, learning disorders, deafness and even death, to name a few. We are running in our undies because those affected with NF can’t cover up their tumors. They can’t put clothes on to feel more comfortable, so why should we?
Your donation, whether it be $5 or $500, will provide critical funding to our partner, the Children’s Tumor Foundation and allow for clinical trials, treatments and ultimately the cure we desperately need.
